We are proud to hold accreditation by AHAA. Our hospital facility and veterinary team are voluntarily tested regularly in their anesthetic abilities, surgical and dentistry technique, pain assessment with choices in pain management, and overall excellence in careing for your babies. We are even trained in contagious disease control and isolation. (Now I'm just bragging:) AAHA, along with a group of veterinary experts, developed the AAHA Standards of Accreditation as benchmarks of excellence. We also developed the evaluation system where practices are regularly evaluated by a Practice Consultant to ensure they meet the AAHA’s standards. What is AAHA Accreditation? Since 1933, AAHA’s leaders and other veterinary experts have developed specific written standards for companion animal practices. These standards have undergone numerous changes, but none so significant as the 2005 enhancements. The enhanced standards were developed in order to raise the bar of veterinary excellence. We wanted to ensure they reflect the developments made over the past 10 years in veterinary medicine in addition to AAHA’s team philosophy. We recognize that practice team members make significant contributions to the delivery of quality care and the overall success of every veterinary practice. The enhanced standards of accreditation cover the following areas: Anesthesia: Methods for assessing can be found on AAHAs webpage www.aaaha.net

Flea Allergy
Overview
Flea allergy dermatitis is the most common allergy in dogs and cats. It is caused by flea bites, specifically skin reactions from the saliva of the flea. It is a very itchy disease and predisposes to the development of secondary skin infections.
Oddly enough, most animals with flea allergy have very few fleas – because they are so itchy, they groom themselves excessively, eliminating any evidence of fleas. Click Here To Read More
